We are dedicated to nurturing young musicians through a comprehensive and engaging piano curriculum. Our program is designed to provide a well-rounded musical education that caters to the unique needs of each student.
Our curriculum takes a holistic approach, integrating technical exercises, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, and a diverse repertoire. This combination ensures that students develop strong finger strength, understand the language of music, recognize musical elements by ear, and quickly learn new pieces. Regular assessments help track progress and provide constructive feedback, keeping students on the right path to achieving their musical goals.
We understand that every child learns differently, so our instructors tailor lessons to each student’s learning style, pace, and interests. This personalized instruction keeps students engaged and motivated, making their learning experience both effective and enjoyable.
Creating a supportive learning environment is central to our teaching philosophy. We encourage a positive atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their musical talents. Our instructors are not only skilled musicians but also empathetic educators who value encouragement and patience.
We also believe in the importance of parental involvement. We encourage parents to be engaged, assist with practice at home, and stay informed about their child’s progress. This collaborative approach strengthens the bond between the studio, the student, and their family, creating a strong support system for the child’s musical development.
Our curriculum is based on proven teaching methods and strategies refined over years of experience. By choosing our studio, you are investing in a comprehensive, personalized, and supportive piano education that will inspire your child to reach their full musical potential. Join us in nurturing the next generation of musicians!

Meet Miss Rebecca: Your Piano and Voice Teacher
Soprano-Mezzo- Contralto
Music has always been a significant part of my life, and I come from a family full of musicians. My grandmother on my mother’s side was an internationally recognized vocalist from the 1930s to the 2000s. My grandfather on my father’s side was a professional trumpet player on the East Coast, and my father was a professional drummer and drum teacher.
I started taking piano lessons at the age of 5 and began vocal lessons with a Juilliard-trained opera singer at age 9. Around the same time, I also started doing musical theater and playing the trumpet, using my grandfather’s trumpet, which I still have today! Throughout my musical journey, I have played in various jazz bands, symphonies, and orchestras, and sang in various choirs, including madrigals. I have also had the opportunity to perform with various bands across the United States as a vocalist.
Currently, I am an elementary school classroom music teacher for general music education and run a piano studio in rural Humboldt County. I am dedicated to teaching students from a perspective that they will understand, ensuring that each lesson is personalized to meet their unique needs and interests.
I am excited to announce the opening of The Cupboard Music and Fine Arts Studio, our second location. With this new studio, I hope to reach a larger portion of the Humboldt community and expose more children to the beautiful world of creative arts.
In addition to music, I am also a passionate painter, working primarily with acrylic and oil mediums. The new studio will offer various painting and art classes, parties, lessons, and events, providing a space for creativity and artistic expression.
I look forward to making music and art with you and helping you achieve your artistic goals!
